Ishita started her journey from rural Bengal and gradually conquered all hurdles, she is awarded Shalimar – Anandabazar ‘Adwitia’. apart from being ‘Adwitia, she has won a number of awards and felicitations in the field of recitation.

Her performance has been well acclaimed across the nation and beyond. She has been awarded Bharat Nirman, Abritti Devi, Pranranjan Bachik Shiropa, in Bangladesh her performance is much appraised by leading news dailies and she has been awarded Uttar Bangla Padak.

Ishita has traveled a number of places to perform, her performances in New Delhi, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Gangtok, Tripura has mesmerized the audience, Ishita’s tour to Bangladesh was well acclaimed both by critics and audience of that country.

Her recent performance in Khulna Shilpakala Academy – Milanayaten organised by Krishtidhara and Biswavhora Pran is a milestone performance which has been honored with th Award and Title – Abritti Rajkanya ( Princess of Recitation ). See video

Apart from being a voice artist Ishita Das Adhikary is a MBA with Post Graduation in Physics and also successfully cleared WBCS . Ishita now performs regularly on All India Radio and Doordarshan.
